Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate /VC-IP

Ascorbate tetraiso-palmitate, an esterified vitamin C derivative, is also one of the most expensive vitamin C derivatives. Also known as tetrahexyldecyl alcohol ascorbate, 

esterified vitamin C, fat soluble vitamin C. English name Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tetra - Isopalmitate Vitma C, VC - IP for short.

Ascorbate tetraisopalmitate appears as a light yellow to colorless liquid. As a derivative of vitamin C, ascorbate tetraisomalmitate penetrates into the skin to transform into vitamin C and then plays the role of vitamin C (therefore, it is also called vitamin C inducer), has good oil solubility, and can be widely and quickly dissolved in esters, vegetable oils, ethanol and hydrocarbons (except polyols). At the same time, ascorbate tetraiso-palmitate is mild and non-irritating, and can also be used for sensitive skin.

Function and application

ascorbate tetraisomalmitate in skin care products is anti-oxygen, whitening, anti-aging and freckle.

Ascorbate tetraiso-palmitate is a vitamin C derivative with good stability and is not easily oxidized. It can penetrate into the skin and convert to free vitamin C in the skin, 

thus playing a variety of physiological functions of vitamin C. These features include:

1. Skin brightening:

It can inhibit the activity of tyrosinase in cells, thereby reducing the production of melanin and achieving the effect of whitening skin.

2. Promote collagen synthesis:

Vitamin C is an important cofactor in collagen synthesis, and ascorbate tetriso-palmitate helps the skin produce more collagen by providing vitamin C, 

thereby improving skin elasticity and shine.

3. Inhibit lipid peroxidation:

As a powerful antioxidant, it is able to prevent lipid peroxidation, thereby protecting the skin from free radical damage and preventing skin aging.
