Octacosanol (1-Octacosanol), also known as montanol or pril alcohol, is a naturally occurring higher fatty alcohol, 

containing 28 carbon atoms in a straight chain structure, it is one of the main components of polyeicosanols

It is mainly found in the wax secreted by the peel or fruit surface of the plant, such as sugarcane wax, rice bran wax and so on.
