Octacosanol
Octacosanol (1-Octacosanol), also known as montanol or pril alcohol, is a naturally occurring higher fatty alcohol,
containing 28 carbon atoms in a straight chain structure, it is one of the main components of polyeicosanols
It is mainly found in the wax secreted by the peel or fruit surface of the plant, such as sugarcane wax, rice bran wax and so on.
These raw materials are extracted by oil winterization, solvent extraction, distillation, supercritical extraction and other methods.
As an efficient and safe nutritional supplement, octacosanol is widely used in medicine, health care products and cosmetics.
