Taurodeoxycholic Acid (TUDCA)
Taurodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) is a binding bile acid with the chemical name 3α,7β dihydroxycholanoyl-n-taurine,
which is formed by the shrinkage between the carboxyl group of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) and the amino group of taurine.
It was first discovered from bear bile in 1902, and is one of the main bile acids in bear bile.
It has spasmolysis, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory and chololithiolytic functions.
Compared with ursodeoxycholic acid, sulursodeoxycholic acid has faster dissolution rate and higher total dissolution rate,
and no obvious adverse reactions

Function of Taurodeoxycholic Acid (TUDCA)
1.Dissolving cholesterol stones:
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid capsules are mainly used for dissolving cholesterol stones.
it can increase the secretion of bile acids and change the composition of bile acids,
thereby inhibiting the synthesis of cholesterol in the gallbladder and promoting the dissolution of cholesterol in the gallbladder .
2.Treatment of cholestatic liver disease:
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid capsules are also commonly used to treat cholesterol-type gallstones,
cholestatic liver disease and other diseases. It is a cholelitic that can reduce the amount of cholesterol in bile .
3.Improvement of high cholesterol:
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid capsules can be used to improve the situation of high cholesterol,
help treat cholesterol-type gallstones, cholestatic liver disease and other diseases, and relieve the discomfort caused by liver injury .
4.Promote bile secretion and excretion:
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid capsules mainly accelerate the secretion of bile acid,
and may help the excretion of gallstones for some patients with small bile stones or who are unwilling to undergo surgery .
5.Regulation of bile composition:
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid capsules can cause changes in bile acid composition and increase its content in bile,
which is conducive to the gradual dissolution of cholesterol .
6.Prevention and treatment of other diseases:
In addition to the treatment of gallstones and cholestatic liver disease,
tauroursodeoxycholic acid capsules can also be used to prevent drug-induced stone formation and treat steatorrhea after ilectomy.
