Totarol was tested for antioxidant activity. A single measurement was performed using FRAP (iron reduction/antioxidant capacity),
LPIC (lipid peroxidation inhibition capacity) and ORAC (oxygen radical absorption capacity) to test the antioxidant properties of tautol.
Totarol is a commonly used antioxidant supplement, and the final results show that Totarol has very high antioxidant activity in the fat-soluble system

Totarol 0.05% w/w was used to test the skin irritation of 50 volunteers.
The results showed that none of the 50 volunteers had any skin irritation reaction

1.antioxidation
Totarol can effectively inhibit the microsomal lipid peroxidation caused by iron (III)-ADP/NADPH and mitochondrial lipid peroxidation
caused by iron (III)-ADP/NADH, protect the activity of mitochondrial respiratory enzyme,
and protect the oxidative damage caused by NADPH.
Its lipid protective capacity is 10 times that of vitamin E.
2.Antibacterial property
The polyphenol structure of tautophenol has antibacterial and anti-microbial activity,
especially against gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
The inhibitory ability of peach topol on propionibacterium acnes was 5-10 times that of pionin,
and the inhibitory concentration on Staphylococcus aureus also showed a high antibacterial effect .
3.Sunscreen efficacy
Totarol can protect the skin from UV damage, reduce the skin's sensitivity to UV rays,
and prevent skin cancer and other skin problems caused by UV rays.
Studies have shown that peach topol exerts its sunscreen effect by inhibiting photoinduced ROS production .
4.Anti-inflammatory effect
Totarol has anti-inflammatory activity, which can inhibit nitric oxide and/or proinflammatory
response prostaglandin (PG) synthesis to achieve anti-inflammatory function .
5.applicability
Totarol is suitable for all kinds of cosmetics with oil system. It has natural anti-corrosion effect against gram-positive bacteria
