Natural Ingredients For Weight Management

Natural ingredients for weight management

Dietary fiber

1. Inulin:

It is a natural fructan derived from plants in the Compositae family, such as chicory.

Inulin cannot be broken down by human digestive enzymes, but it can be fermented and utilized by beneficial bacteria in the gut. It can increase stool volume, promote intestinal motility, and prevent constipation. Moreover,

inulin can regulate the intestinal flora, increase the number of beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacterium,

reduce the growth of harmful bacteria, and help to improve the intestinal microecological environment.

At the same time, inulin has strong water absorption, which can make people feel full and reduce the intake of other foods, thus playing a role in weight management.

2.Konjac Powder:

Extracted from konjac tubers. The main component of Konjac powder is glucomannan,

which is a kind of macromolecular polysaccharide.

It expands in water to form a highly viscous solution that makes people feel full,

and can delay stomach emptying and reduce appetite. In addition, Konjac powder can absorb excess fat and cholesterol in the intestine, promote their excretion, and help control weight and reduce blood lipids.

3. Oat Fiber:

It is found in the bran of oats. It is a complex carbohydrate that contains ingredients such as beta-glucan.

Beta-glucan can increase the viscosity of intestinal contents,

slow down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, and avoid a sharp rise in blood sugar.

At the same time, oat fiber can absorb a lot of water, expand and fill the stomach, increase satiety,

reduce food intake, and help weight control.

Proteins

1. Whey Protein:

It's a high-quality protein extracted from milk. It contains all the essential amino acids needed by the human body,

and the proportion is reasonable, easy to be absorbed by the human body.

Whey protein can increase the metabolic rate of the body during digestion and absorption,

because the digestion and metabolism of protein requires more energy.

At the same time, it can provide a sense of fullness and reduce cravings for high-calorie foods. For example, in meal replacement foods, whey protein can be used as the main protein source, replacing part of the staple food, helping to control calorie intake while supplementing nutrients.

2. Soy protein:

It comes from soybeans. It is a plant-based protein that is relatively inexpensive.

Soy protein also has high nutritional value and contains a variety of essential amino acids.

It is digested and absorbed relatively slowly in the gut, providing a lasting feeling of fullness. Moreover,

soy protein also contains some bioactive ingredients, such as soy isoflavones,

which may have a certain effect on regulating human hormone levels and improving metabolism,

thereby assisting weight management.

3. Pea protein:

Extracted from peas. It is also a high-quality plant protein that is gluten-free and suitable for people with gluten allergies. The amino acid composition of pea protein is relatively balanced, which can provide adequate nutrition for human body. In terms of weight management, it, like other proteins, can increase satiety, and its digestion and absorption process will also consume a certain amount of energy, helping to control weight.

probiotics

1. Bifidobacteria:

It is an important beneficial bacteria in the gut. It can help manage weight in a number of ways. Bifidobacterium can ferment dietary fiber and produce short-chain fatty acids such as acetic acid, propionic acid and butyric acid. These short-chain fatty acids can regulate the secretion of gut hormones such as peptide YY, which increases satiety, and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), thereby reducing food intake. At the same time, bifidobacteria can also improve intestinal barrier function, reduce the absorption of endotoxins, reduce inflammatory response, and be beneficial for overall metabolic health and weight control.

2. Lactobacillus acidophilus:

It is found in the human gut and mouth.

It can regulate the balance of intestinal flora and inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria.

Lactobacillus acidophilus is able to break down lactose, produce organic acids such as lactic acid,

reduce the pH of the gut, and create an environment that is not conducive to the growth of harmful bacteria.

In terms of weight management, it can participate in the regulation of the body's energy metabolism and assist in weight control by affecting processes such as fat metabolism.

3. Lactobacillus casei:

It has good acid tolerance and bile tolerance and can colonize the human gut. It can enhance the immune function of the gut and reduce intestinal inflammation. At the same time, Lactobacillus casei can produce some bioactive substances in the metabolic process, affecting the body's appetite regulation and energy metabolism. For example, it may be associated with lower body fat percentage, indirectly affecting the body's weight by improving the structure of the gut flora.

Plant Extracts

1. Green Tea Extract:

The main component is catechin, of which epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) has a high content.

EGCG has many functions such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and metabolic regulation.

It can inhibit the differentiation and proliferation of fat cells and reduce the accumulation of fat.

At the same time, green tea extract can also promote the oxidative decomposition of fat and increase energy consumption. In some weight loss products, green tea extract is used to help reduce weight

and body fat percentage.

2. Garcinia Cambogia Extract:

Contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA). HCA inhibits the activity of citrate lyase,

a key enzyme in fatty acid synthesis, thereby reducing fat synthesis.

In addition, garcinia cambogia extract may also affect appetite regulation by increasing the release of serotonin,

making people feel full, reducing food intake, and has certain applications in weight management.

3. Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) :

It is found mainly in the meat and dairy products of ruminants

and can also be obtained through chemical synthesis or microbial fermentation.

CLA regulates the body's fat metabolism, reducing the size of fat cells and increasing muscle mass.

By inhibiting the uptake and storage of fat by fat cells, while promoting the breakdown of fat,

it has certain effects in weight management and body composition improvement. However,

its long-term safety and optimal dosage need further study.
